Two days after it was announced, the Iowa State Cyclones seem to be getting disrespected by everyone, from all angles. Whether it’s Notre Dame waiting seemly hours to even make an announcement, their fans crying foul claiming that having to play the Cyclones is a slap in the face after a 10 win season, and now Barstool Sports putting up an article suggesting that Notre Dame should turn down the invite to play in the Camping World Bowl; no one seems to be taking this game or the Cyclones seriously. We joked about it yesterday on the show, but it appears the disrespect is real. Iowa State is by far no slouch, and  are a far better team than their record shows (and that’s not too shabby either). Being on the wrong side of a few key ball bounces, and chances are Iowa State is playing in a bigger game and Notre Dame fans would still be complaining.

As a fan, as upsetting and insulting as all this seems to be, I for one am fine with the Cyclones being underestimated and not taken seriously. The added locker room bulletin board material puts a huge chip on the shoulder of each and every player. All this negativity might just be the thing the Cyclones need to march into Orlando extra motivated.
