As one of the great philosophers of this generation put it, “if you like it put a ring on it” and clearly Iowa State likes the direction their football program is going under head coach Matt Campbell. The Cyclones have offered Campbell another extension, keeping him the program through the 2025 season. Iowa State and Matt Campbell previously agreed to an extension through 2024 last December, but it’s clear the Cyclones want to lock him up for at least another year. Due to the success Campbell has had turning around the program, he is an extremely hot commodity for teams searching for a new signal caller. Campbell’s name has been brought up this season as a possible coach to fill vacancies at Florida State and Arkansas, but seems he will remain with the Cyclones for the time being. Campbell has been able to secure at least on victory against every opponent he has faced in the Big 12, however has still yet to check that oh so important victory over the Hawkeyes off his list.
